Kailey Parker is entering her 14th year as a music educator and her fourth year as Director of Bands at Loma Alta Middle School. A graduate of Southwestern University with a Bachelor of Music Education degree, Ms. Parker is passionate about helping students discover their potential through music while fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and personal growth.

Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to developing young musicians and creating meaningful musical experiences that inspire students both in and out of the classroom.

Since arriving at Loma Alta, Ms. Parker has led the Loma Alta Band program through a period of remarkable growth and achievement. Under her leadership, the program has expanded from approximately 220 students to more than 350 students—a growth of nearly 60 percent. During her tenure, every eligible performing ensemble has earned UIL Sweepstakes honors, resulting in three consecutive years of Sweepstakes Awards across all competing ensembles.

Ms. Parker is passionate about helping students build a strong musical foundation that extends beyond their middle school years. She is excited to work alongside the Creek View High School band staff and values the opportunity to continue encouraging and supporting former students as they grow into accomplished musicians, leaders, and young adults.

When she is not teaching, Ms. Parker enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, hiking, and exploring new places with her dog, Poppy.
